2026-10-25 13:32:20
Hello Doctors, I am 32, unmarried, with varicocele & 10000cfu infection in semen culture. After taking fertility supplements, fish oil, and improving my diet for 3 months, my semen parameters changed: Volume: 3.1 → 3.3 ml Total sperm count: 99.2 → 115.5 million Concentration: 32 → 35 million/ml Total motility: 29% → 49% Progressive motility: 19% → 35% Vitality: 75% → 79% Morphology: 3% → 4% Liquefaction time: 30 min → 1 hr 15 min Pus cells: 16–18/HPF in both reports .  Can I conceive naturally in the future? Do I need varicocele treatment or further tests for elevated pus cells and delayed liquefaction? I'm going to marry in next 6 months. please tell weather natural pregnancy is possible or not?

Your semen parameters have improved well over the last three months. Total count, motility and vitality are now in a range that generally supports natural conception, though morphology is still borderline. The infection shown on your culture and the raised pus cells are what still need attention, since ongoing inflammation can slow further improvement and affect how much the varicocele is impacting sperm quality.
Next Steps
Please see a urologist or andrologist to treat the semen infection and reassess whether the varicocele needs treatment. A repeat semen analysis two to three months after treating the infection will show where you stand.
Health Tips
Don't delay the infection treatment given your marriage timeline, since untreated inflammation can undo some of the progress you've made.
