Unexplained Frequent Anger Episodes

2020-09-26 15:12:13
My son is having frequent (once or twice a day) unexplainable anger anxiety episodes. Sometimes he hits himself sometime hits us. Generally it goes away itself taking anywhere between 10 mins to an hour... Many a times he gets ok if he eats something during the episode... His fasting glucose and PP reports are normal.

It looks like adjustment disorder and can be curable. This first requires session with the parents and then to identify the main behaviours of the son. We can work together to find solutions

You may take an anger management session with a counselor. We use various techniques and empower the counsele to cope with the stress , anxiety and anger. This could be due to hormonal change. Since I don’t know the family history or reasons for anger attacks , cannot give an advice here.

It looks like that you people had earlier given him so much of importance, due to which, he is unable to accept if there is even a little changes in your behaviours.. I suggest you to consult a psychological Counselor for a therapy as parents first and then later, if required, your son can also continue for a therapy..
