Last night my baby boy 7 days old umbilical stump has fallen off. Today I've noticed yellowish puss like fluid oozing out. Didn't touch it. Whether it's an emergency or when to consult Pediatrician?

Umbilical stump falling off by the end of 7days is expected event .Whenever umbilical stump gets infected there is a delay in its' falling .probably it may be serous discharge.It might have been mistaken. Anyhow not an emergency unless it's definite infection
