Typhoid from last one week

My wife is having typhoid from last one week for which we visited nearby physician. It was diagnosed on 10th August through widal test with S Typhi 'O' and 'H' as 1/160 positive. Initially our physician has given her Azithral 500mg, Ciplox 500mg along with paracetamol and Lanzol 30 mg. However, after my wife complained about stomach pain and a feeling of vomitting, he replaced Azithral 500 mg and starter Taxim-o 200 mg. However, even after 1 week, my wife's fever is 99-100F. I want to know if the medicines which she is taking is correct. Also, if I want to visit any specialist nearby Paschim Vihar, New Delhi, which doctor (or atleast which branch of medicine) or hospital (opd) I can visit.

Dear friend...the titres of 1:160 are commonly found in Indian populations as typhoid bacteria is very prevalent in our country and all of us get exposed to it subclinically. So a widal titre cannot diagnose typhoid fever with surity. Get a Typhidot IgM and a blood culture done. They are preferred tests for diagnosing typhoid fever. So till now you cant be sure about the cause of ur wife’s fever. Secondly The medicines are correct except ciprofloxacin which is no longer used in treatment of typhoid fever nowadays. But The doses of Azithro and taxim both are inadequate/incorrect for typhoid fever.
