Twitching of face muscles

My wife has twitching (fadakan) of her face below the eye (cheek) from last one month. It's very irritating and that area starts feeling heavy after it happens for long time. It happens most of the time across the day and stops for few hours and starts happen again. Please suggest what could be the reason for the same and is it something to worry about?
