Dual marker tells possibility of Downn’s or Edverd ‘s syndrome which generally have mental retardation
Anencephaly in on other hand is with incompatible of living after birth
If reports of dual marker in twins gestation are showing increase probability of Down’s syndrome
Then one shud do noninvasive maternal blood test for fetal chromosomal sampling or shud confirm with amniocentesis
If Dual marker is normal then need not worry n do even quadruple markers for double confirmation
Anencephaly can grow for 9 mths n I have seen child servicing for 11 mths post delivery
