TSH = 11.1

2025-05-18 16:05:01
I just had a routine health check up and my reports shows TSH level 11.1 though i dont have any symptoms. Moreover, i had a medical abortion one month ago.. does that causes thyroid? What is the treatment? Do i need to worry about this? How will this get normal?

Hypothyroidism,  hair fall,  dry skin, hoarseness of voice, are common  symptoms  later heart symptoms appear  if untreated. Thyroxine 88mcg one before breakfast  in empty stomach for 2 months.  Not to stop as u need follow up with MD physician or endocrinologist. Add calcium as thyroxine  is calcium depleting agent so bones become weak.  Shalcal 500 one at night.

You will need thyroid hormone supplementation. To determine whether it's required short-term or long-term, an anti-TPO antibody test should be done. If the result is positive, lifelong supplementation may be necessary. But don't worry it's manageable and safe with regular follow-up. Consult a general physician after getting the tests done for advice on medication and dosage.
Next Steps
anti TPO antibodies, free T3 and free T4
