Trigger finger is primarily an involvement of the tendon which gets inflammed due to improper ergonomics, trauma or linked to disorders like rheumatoid arthrits etc. It is easily treatable with physiotherapy wherein ultraound therapy/laser therapy has been found to be extremely beneficial.
Also apply ice locally over area of involvement for 4 to 5mins (make sure to remove ice as you get feeling of numbness & reapply it again) twice a day.
Avoid typing function or lifting weights & in severe distress better to use a finger splint while working.
