Yes retinoids are prescribed for certain lesions of the oral cavity. Kindly describe the white spot?

To my knowledge tretinoin is for external use only. So it shouldn’t be applied inside your oral cavity. Plz consult your dentist again for the purpose of prescribing this medicine.
