Is there any other option for TVS sonography other than abdominal pelvic sonography as its very painful for my sister. Or can a doctor inject and do it to numb that area? or is there any other option to this like MRI ? vaginal inspection is too painful for my sister

Is your sister infertile or pregnant? Why is she needing TVS again . TVS is any day better than TAS. It provides a very clear picture of uterus and ovaries. MRI is not an alternative for ultrasound and it's too costly.

Hello......its not that painful... Moreover you haven't mentioned why transvaginal ultrasound is recommended.... MRI is not an alternative for ultrasound... She can go for abdominal ultrasound but TVS gives more clarity and minor abdnomalitirs can be detected in TVS......
