Torn Meniscus
Having this problem from past 8 months. Doctors says, it has only a single treatment i.e Surgery. But it may not be 100% successful. It may create another issue of arthritis. So what would be the alternative?

Living with torn meniscus is much more painful compared to reduced sized and reshaped meniscus.we arthroscopic surgeons not only remove the torn part which is anyway useless now but also we reshape the reduced sized meniscus during the surgery so that it can take care of knee to prevent arthritis.there are some types of tears which are 5 to 10% can be repaired.chances of arthritis is also due to cartilages damage you may be having either because of injury or continuing with torn meniscus..hope this information gives you basic idea of meniscus tear management.
