if recurrent attacks of tonsillitis more than 5 in a year which require treatment with antibiotics or any complication of tonsillitis such as peritonsillar abscess or more than 2 episodes of follicular tonsillitis requiring injectable antibiotics becomes an indication for surgery.
Next Steps
if hypertrophied tonillar tissue causing snoring or sleep apnoea or halitosis or dysphagia then too it becomes an indication for surgery.
