Hi, I am Dr. Atul Kumar Nimawat MS ENT.
The burning sensation on the part of the tongue marked in green while eating spicy food is likely due to irritation of the mucosa or nerve endings in that area. Spicy foods can trigger this because they activate pain receptors like TRPV1, making the tissue more sensitive.
The pain on the part marked in red only while touching could be due to local inflammation or pressure from the newly erupting tooth. A sharp tooth coming out nearby can irritate the surrounding soft tissues, causing tenderness or pain when touched.
Since there was a tooth extraction done a few months ago on the same side of the upper jaw, and now a new tooth is erupting in that area, it’s possible that the healing tissue, slight inflammation, or mechanical irritation from the new tooth is causing these symptoms.
These are common findings during tooth eruption or post-extraction healing, but if the pain persists, worsens, or is associated with swelling, pus, or fever, it’s important to consult a dentist for a thorough evaluation.
