Tongue butting happens more after wisdom

It's been 2 weeks now after wisdom tooth removal and 5 days after the stitches are removed, But still mouth opening is not normal which Dr said will recover in a week and gave muscle relaxer tablet, but actual problem is daily 4-5 times my tongue comes in between my teeth and gets crushed which is more painful than the pain after surgery. What can I do to help my tongue not getting between teeths as the pain is unbearable for initial 2-3minutes and worried if this continues might can impact something else. Please suggest.. Thanks

Hello,      The reduced mouth opening could be the cause of tongue biting. Use the muscle relaxant prescribed, do cheek blowing exercise and exercises to improve mouth opening. Visit your dentist and learn these exercises. This will improve your mouth opening. Avoid hard foods and take soft diet.
Next Steps
visit your dentist for further management. Regards

Due to the restricted mouth opening your tongue is getting injured. Avoid hard biting food take soft diet. And try to open your mouth doing cheek inflation exercise. Hot water compressions may also help you to relieve the muscle strain. If this doesn’t subside within 10 days better visit your dentist and take proper treatment required
