Atorvastatin is given for dyslipidemia, mainly targeting- TRIGLYCERIDES AND LDL cholesterol. Other ways of reducing cholesterol is lifestyle changes. ( Exercise, Diet free of fats). If baseline cholesterol improves more than target levels, we can reduce dose. Side effects are muscle aches and fatigue. Lower doses are not associated with more side effects. Do share lipid profile so we can guide you on target levels, according to your age and risks.
