Having a clicking sound only does not require any treatment. Swelling which has been there for a long time needs to be checked. Pl visit a dentist.

You should visit a dentist who will get you consultation with an oral surgeon. There might be a fracture in your TMJ(joint) if swelling has not subsided. Other cause could be TMJ disorder for which you will require splints. The dentist will advise an x Ray/OPG for your jaw.

This is due TMJ joint distortion or fracture... This can be diagnosed after seeing the x-rays of opg and lateral ceph and need to consult an oral surgeon and also we need you to give complete history of your trauma and then only the treatment plan can be decided..
