Hi I had successful total thyroidectomy after I was diagnosed with Thyroidcancer and completed RAI as well the scan showed reminent Thyroid tissue absorbed RAI , I am currently on 200mcg of Thyroid medicine and 2000mg of Calcium supplement, problem is my heart beat increases suddenly and then becomes normal after a minute or so it happens 2-3 times in a day I am worried what could be the reason ? .I started having this problem since 3 days What could be the reason? Do I need to get any blood test done ?
High eltroxin tabs might cause this. but as u have said that ur treated case of thyroid cancer we keep you on suppressive dose. Meet a nuclear medicine expert where you got RIA done or endocrinologist dose adjustment might help.
