you have not mentioned what thyroid problem... get her thyroid profile done consult physicians they will do the needful...if thyroid is enlarged,causing difficulty to breath,eat etc consult surgeon they will do the needful

Dear Friend,
Please get an ultrasound of the thyoid done for your mother. Also as suggested by other doctor get a blood test done for the thyoid hormon levels.
Once you have these reports ready, please let know the results, I would be able to give more detailed advise.
