Thyroid levels during first trimester

My wife is 9 weeks pregnant. Doctor asked for thyroid check-up. As per the 3rd Gen TSH Ultrasensitive Report, the observed value is 7.39 ( Biological Reference Interval: 0.35- 5.50 ulU/mL). Is this normal? Does TSH levels increase during pregnancy? She doesn't have any history of thyroid issues.

Not normal It's raised Should be less than 2.5 Probably her thyroid levels were not checked in the recent past No pregnancy is not the reason fr deranged thyroid Yes thyroid levels may keep increasing in pregnancy as weight of patient increases n fetal requirement is added Hence repeat tsh every 45 days n dose adjustment accordingly

Tsh is on higher side. Hypothyroidism can occur during pregnancy. Consult physician to start the medicines.
