Hi doc my tsh is 6.2 and t3 and t4 are normal and my age is 28.from some days i am on protein diet i am taking soy protein shakes to loose weight as i weigh 82kg but today i read somewhere that thyroid patient should not consume soy protein as it can worsen our tsh so upto what extent it is true i shud avoid this or nt

Thank you for your question. You need the protein so that your thyroid gland can make thyroxine better. Please read 'Optimal health' by Dr Duke Johnson. He explains it very well. You won't have any doubt after reading it and your thyroid function will improve over the next six months. Best wishes
