Throat infection with fever

I had an throat infection with a white patch visible on one side. after taking antibiotics(azithromycin 500 mg) for three days,  i am still having high fever though the patch ha subsided considerably.. now having dry cough.. pretty bad..  I am doing gargle with lupidine and salt water 2 times daily but which is difficult with cough..  Please help . Thank you
