Whenever my 10 year old son catches cold , he suffers from runny nose with thick mucus for a  long period. Which problem is this and how to get it treated. If I have to see a pedestrian or ENT specialist..

It is not uncommon to have thick mucus in common cold But if it persists for very long, consult an ENT specialist for complete evaluation
