Teeth cavity

2016-04-26 16:30:42
I have a cavity in one of my teeth. It was okay all these days but suddenly there is pain and I am unable to eat...I consulted a dentist and she suggested extracting the tooth. As I understand there are stitches after the extraction hence I am a little scared. I want an opinion if tooth extraction will actually relieve my Pain or increase it?? And is there an option to undergo extraction without stitches??

Hello there ...your concern is natural... But need not to worry ...the procedure is done under local anesthesia ...so its totally painless....n will certainly give you relief... Sutures (stitches ) are usually given just to close the wound and promote healing... So.. relax and proceed with the treatment... Take care ...!!

Ya it will definitely , but it depends if your undergoing a surgical extraction or simple extraction, surgical will require sutures, but all tooth need not be extracted, first option would be to save the tooth by doing some or other preventive and treatment options .

Hi..yes it will relieve the pain. Surgical extraction is done in tougher cases . It requires some bone trimming as well. So to close wound stiches are placed. No need to worry with procedure. Since it is done under local anesthesia, there will be no pain. Once anesthesia goes, pain killers will start acting and only mild pain will be there. Regards
