Swollen near the ankle

I had a mini accident few days back.My leg started swelling from the next day onwards and its paining a lot , couldn't even walk yet I need to go to office daily and do my personal works irrespective of the pain.should I consult a doctor for this,if yes,what kind of doctor should I consult !!! Please kindly respond fast

hello since you have an ankle sprain i would suggest u take rest, u could use a crepe bandage so that the swelling reduces. make sure u dont walk with that foot as the swelling might not reduce. u could use antiinflammatory drugs as well. if u dont improve u need to consult an orthopedician.

Hi..u should definitely consult an orthopaedician as the pain and swelling is still there..he would ideally suggest an x Ray after physical examination and then prescribe u medications for the pain and swelling..
