Swollen lymph nodes

2020-08-17 14:13:52
I had lymph node swelling of posterior cervical,  and palpable external jugular and internal jugular node. Fnac done two times both came with reactive hyperplasia. Size is 1.2*0.7cm and not increasing in size for 8 nonths. I have read somewhere tht these lymph node are indicative pf lymphoma. Is it true

Hi there Reactive hyperplasia can lead to increase in the size of the lymph nodes. An FNAC is done to assess the type of tissue the swelling is made up of. Reactive hyperplasia means just that reactive. Not infection/not cancer. 2 tests done suggest the same. Please don't worry yourself. The swelling being constant and not increasing in size should help you feel  reassured. Keep an eye out for the swelling. Get an excision biopsy in case the swelling increases in size.
