Hello there...I can understand your concern. From your description it looks like you could be suffering from bilateral pitting edema of both legs. There are many causes for bilateral pitting edema of legs like protein deficiency, liver disease, renal disease, right heart failure, abdominal mass, venous insufficiency. You will need detailed clinical examination and further investigations. So kindly consult a general physician for further evaluation.

Hello there.  I can understand your concern.  Very good detailed observation from you. You have given us a very important information that its a pitting type of oedema. Sleep with a pillow below your legs so thag your legs are slightly raised. Is it tgere throughout the day or just for some hours? If its there throughout the day, then get it checked out by a general physician in person for further evaluation and management.  Till then, restrict your salt intake i would say. Best regards. Is the swelling on both the sides or only on one side? If it is on one side then the reason is different from if the swelling is on both the sides. If the swelling is on both sides It may be due dependant oedema, for which you should ensure that you are not standing or sitting at a stretch for long duration. There may be other reasons also. It will be better if you can consult your doctor who will have to examine thoroughly and may be certain tests will be required to be done before a conclusive diagnosis can be made.
