From the picture and history, the swelling behind the ear appears to be a superficial skin or soft-tissue swelling such as infected cyst such swellings in children reduce with appropriate medicines if infection is the cause

Hi, please provide complete history and the images seem to be blurry as well. If this swelling is of shorter duration and is painful, you can continue with the prescribed medication and if it is of longer duration, not painful and if it was caused due to ear stud, it might need surgical removal
