My daughter is 3 months old. She is having swelling and redness at the site of vaccine that was given at 1.5 months. Is it normal showing swelling and redness after 1.5 months and what should we do?

Swelling and redness following vaccination is a common problem. As long as the baby active, feeding well and no fever there is no need to worry. Cold compressions intermittently over swelling  reduces pain and swelling. Look for any restricted movement of vaccinated thigh. If no restriction of leg movement then there is no need to worry.

Usually there is no swelling for such a prolonged period. Please visit your local paediatrician. What occurred after the 2.5 month injection? Did that also swell? Book an appointment with me to discuss further. You can follow me on Instagram @pediatrician_india for more helpful tips ! Take care !
