Swelling after accident

I met with an accident two weeks ago. there were some injuries on my elbow, for arm and knee. on the day of accident there were so much swelling on knee not on the place of injury but on some other place near it. after some days all the injuries got repaired. but swelling is still present at that place. not sure its swelling of some clotting of blood. before i was unable to bend my knee but not i can do that but there is some pain on the place of swelling. please suggest.

1. Tab Pan 40 mg once daily before breakfast. 2. Tab Enzomac Plus twice daily after meals. 3. Tab Gudecf CV twice daily after meals. 4. Fucidin cream thrice daily local application. 5. Follow up after days . 6. Also get Injection Tetanus 0.5 ml stat. You will be perfect in 5 days

Swelling within 60 minutes means bleeding from fractured bones or structures around it.swelling over 6- 24 means mostly not due to fractures but synovial effusion from damage of other structures of knee.

Hello there...I can understand your concern. From the picture it looks like there could be some inflammation and haematoma. Try to cold compresses. You will need oral anti inflammatory medications. Also we will have to do clinical examination and look for any abnormal movements to rule out fracture. So kindly consult a orthopedic for further evaluation.
