Susten vaginal capsule or Susten Gel

I am currently on vaginal progesterone daily twice. I am facing greenish yellowish chalky discharge after I insert it. Doctors prescribed susten Gel instead to avoid this. I have a history of preterm birth loss. Hence progesterone is essential. Does Susten Gel also works exact same as susten pessary?
