Hi! I am having surgery on Friday to remove a ovarian cyst. I started my period today unexpectedly. Will my doctor still perform my surgery with me being on my period?

Hi The surgery for ovarian cyst is usually done via Laparoscopic procedures. As such there are no major contra - indications of surgery during menstrual period, but it is advisable to wait till the cycle is over.
