Surgery advice for gall bladder stones
My mother experienced a stomach pain on 8th Jan. In ultrasound multiple gallbladder stones were reported. One stone measures 20 mm and the other of 11 mm. She has been diagnosed with acute cholecystitis.
Doctor has prescribed antibiotics and suggested to go with surgery after 6 weeks once the infection settles down.
Is it the right course of action? Should the surgery be done early?
Yes if stone is measure than 1 cm then you go for the surgery beacause of impaction in the neck of gall bladder.
And also at present no emergency surgery required that’s why doctor gave medication for resolution of infection beacause in infection gall bladder attach to many near by organ so difficult to operate for a surgeon may be post operative complications also occure. So that you take medication for infection control and after 6 weeks you may go for surgery. If in between 6 weeks if pain occure then directly go for surgery
