Type 1 sulcus vocalis is often associated with acid reflux a.k.a. Laryngo-pharyngeal Reflux Disease. Maintaining adequate hydration, practicing good vocalisation habits, breathing exercises and medications for acidity (like Pantoprazole or Esomeprazole or Rabeprazole) should be enough along with a few sessions of speech therapy. Some life style changes like early dinner, Night walks post dinner, cutting down oily foods and beverages like tea/coffee in the evening can also help with acid reflux.
