If someone has smoking history and he needs xray or ct scan of the lungs then is the radiation from these imaging tests ads cumulative risk? (Smoking risk + imaging rafiatiom risk)

Taking one X-ray will not cause enough harm than you smoking for years. If there is a absolute necessary to get x ray and CT scan for the purpose of diagnosis it should be done.
