Your mom may be having some spinal problem may be in the disc. But pain is partly physical and mainly psychological. Anxiety and depression increases the pain sensitivity. Tell her to do muscle strengthening neck and spinal exercises. Yoga may help her too. She needs postural advices. Consult an Ortho doctor.
