My mother is experiencing sudden jerks while sleeping for past couple months. These jerks are sudden and severe and continuous with certain gap of time(10 or 15 mins). She has diabetes and thyroid condition and taking prescribed medicine for the same. what could be the cause of this and how can we improve this condition?

Depends on what she says is happening. Sometimes dreams are weird enough but if happens regularly then need blood work up and if required imaging.
