Subungal Hematoma may usually resorb by itself if it is minimal.. In some cases, it may stay there and gradually come up as the nail grows over 2 to 3 months.. How is her pain..
Next Steps
In case of minor hematoma woth no or minimal pain, it can be conserved and watched for nail growth for gradual removal. In case of severe pain, sometimes a small opening is to be made in nail for Hematoma drainage.. Clinical evaluation will be better for planning further management
Health Tips
Local hot fomentation over nail may help in gradual dissolution of the blood clot..
