Stroke problem

My father is suffering with stroke. It couses unbearable pain and stroke shots. He's not able to eat & drink. Having from one side. Sometimes have to wait hours to consume, he's on bad rest. Doctor gave medicines and said if no changes we'll have to go for operation. Please suggest. Thank you
