Based on the limited information provided, it is not possible to advise a specific medicine or injection without a proper clinical evaluation. After stroke, pain can occur due to multiple reasons such as muscle stiffness (spasticity), shoulder subluxation, joint problems, or nerve-related pain. Management depends on identifying the exact cause. If the pain is due to spasticity, certain medications (like antispasticity drugs) may help. In selected patients, Botulinum toxin (Botox) injections can be very effective in reducing focal spasticity, decreasing pain, and thereby improving the ability to participate in physiotherapy. However, this needs assessment by a Neurologist/Movement Disorder Specialist or Rehabilitation Specialist to decide suitability, muscles to be targeted, and dosing. For other causes of pain, treatment may include pain-modulating medications, local therapies, or guided physiotherapy. Next steps: • Get a detailed evaluation by a Neurologist/Neuro-rehabilitation specialist • Identify the exact cause of pain • Start supervised, gentle physiotherapy along with pain management Important: • Do not start any injections or medications without medical supervision • Response to treatments like Botox varies from patient to patient and requires periodic follow-up • Early and guided rehabilitation is key to better recovery If you can share more details (site of pain, stiffness, current medications), guidance can be better tailored.
