I have ingrowth hair in my legs after waxing. I have marks in the areas of each hair. Which makes it look like strawberry skin. What should I use? I have a very sensitive skin.

Ingrown hairs occur when a hair that has been shaved, waxed, or plucked grows back into the skin instead of up and out of the hair follicle. This can cause pain, redness, and inflammation. Here's some information on ingrown hairs: 1. **Causes:** Ingrown hairs are often caused by hair removal methods that break the hair off unevenly, causing it to grow back into the skin. Curly or coarse hair is more prone to ingrown hairs. 2. **Symptoms:** Common symptoms include red, inflamed bumps, pain or itching, and sometimes pus-filled blisters. These can resemble pimples or small cysts. 3. **Prevention:** To prevent ingrown hairs, use proper shaving techniques (shave in the direction of hair growth), exfoliate the skin regularly, and avoid tight clothing that can trap hairs. 4. **Treatment:** Mild ingrown hairs may resolve on their own. Don't pick or squeeze ingrown hairs, as this can lead to infection or scarring. 5. **Ingrown Hair Removal:** If an ingrown hair doesn't resolve on its own, it can be gently lifted with a sterilized needle or tweezer. 6. **Professional Help:** If you experience chronic or severe ingrown hairs, consider consulting a dermatologist or healthcare provider. They may recommend laser hair removal or other procedures to prevent ingrown hairs. 7. **Complications:** Repeated ingrown hairs can lead to skin infections and scarring. It's important to address the issue if it becomes chronic. Remember, preventing ingrown hairs is often more effective than treating them. Proper hair removal techniques, along with good skin care practices, can help reduce the risk of ingrown hairs. If you're unsure how to deal with ingrown hairs or if they are causing significant discomfort or infection, seek advice from a medical professional.
