My mother was diagnosed with covid 19 on April 13th. She was put on methylprednisolone 32mg for 4 days then 16mg for 4 days, 8mg for 4 days and 4mg for 4 days and stopped. It's been more than a month but I am worried about mucormycosis risk. She is prediabetic but does not take any diabetese medicine and during steroids use her sugar level was on check. After 1 week of stopping the steroids her Hba1c blood test came as 6.9 I wanted to check after how long stopping the steroids is a person's immunity suppressed and person is prone to infection.
