Only breastmilk should be given till 6 months of age and nothing else should be given. After 6 months slowly start giving semi liquid feeds only after consulting pediatrician. After 6 months breast milk should be given alongside other feeds till 2 yrs of age

As per the recommendations of the Paediatrician the baby should be on breast milk and nothing else for six months. After six months comes the time for the weaning diet. However it is better to consult with your own Paediatrician in your area.

For babies, exclusive breastfeeding or formula feeding is recommended for the first 6 months. Introducing other liquids or solid foods earlier may increase the risk of infections and allergies, as the baby's digestive system is still developing.
