Starting dose of Metformin

Pls find attached the recent report of HBA1C and lipid profile of my husband who is 38 YO.We want to start the metformin but don't know what dose should be taken and for how many days. We have consulted a doctor at Apollo and he has prescribed the metformin only but I lost the prescription slip.Pls guide us

Please check his fasting and PP blood sugar level. Get a USG abdomen done to rule out fatty liver, avoid oil and sweets in diet . Right now all are borderline so dietary control can help . Should you want to start medicine then please consult online or local physician
