Squamous cell carcinoma of soft palate

My uncle recently diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma of soft palate and tonsilar fossa..is it a oral cancer or oropharyngeal carcinoma..I mean as far as treatment and staging are concerned ,which type do u labeled on this(oral or oropharyngeal)

Hello. Soft palate and tonsil are part of the oropharynx. So carcinoma arising know this region is staged and treated as oropharyngeal carcinoma. For localized or locoregional disease, treatment includes radiotherapy with concurrent chemotherapy. Thanks.
