Sperms and PCT test

2023-02-27 05:33:18
In my last cycle gynac has suggested me to do PCT test on the next day of ovulation. This test was to check how many sperms are reaching till uterus. So on the day of ovulation they asked is to keep relation and come for PCT on next morning. My PCT test results were abnormal. Only 3 sperms has reached till uterus. Out of which 2 were imotile. And only 1 was motile. Hence doctor asked me to go for IUI. I want to know the reason why sperms are not reaching to uterus ? My both the tubes are normal. I have done HSG 2 months back. No blockages in my tubes. Also I always lay down atleast for half an hour after sex. I exercise and walk regularly.  Plz help me with the reason of sperms not reaching to uterus.

This though not a definite test indicates if your Cervix has antisperm antibodies which is destroying the sperms and preventing them from reaching the uterus. As in IUI the sperms are pushed in directly, the cervix gets bypassed and the antibodies don't destroy the sperms.

Has semen analysis been done? It could be an issue in the sperms.
