Soreness of my left index fingertip at the outer edge near my fingernail has worsened over the past 9 days. Swelling began a 3 days ago and has increased steadily in size and warmth. There is pain to the touch at center of my finger pad (most swollen area) and along the right side of my fingernail from about the cuticle to mid-nail (most painful area). I had no cuts, punctures, etc when the pain/swelling began. The swelling is only at the fingertip "section" of the finger - the rest is fine.
