I have been recommended to do a TVS at 6th week of pregnancy Can Iplease know if this is a mandate test that needs to be done at such early stage. If yes, will it cause any harm or do chances of misscarraige increase if TVS is done .

TVS trans vaginal scan will not harm your baby.. however if you are scared you can wait for one week more and get a trans abdominal scan done provided your gynecologist is not suspecting ectopic pregnancy
