My child is 2 months old. This thing has occured in her hand. It is same spot where she got injection? What is this?

BCG vaccine produce small blister in 1 to 6 weeks. After 6 to 12 weeks a sore develops which heals with a scar. BCG injection is given intradermally that means in the skin But if given deep, it may cause lymph node enlargement or even abscess formation Abscess may have to be drained or even TB drugs required.

It’s cellulitis in response to injection given Apply ice pack over affected skin & give paracetamol drops 5-6 drops 1-2 times a day for 2 days

This occurs in left arm after BCG vaccination usually after BCG it will take 8 wks time to form a scar and this scar will remains lifelong.During processes of scar formation it may form papule,ulcer and lastly scarring. So watch for any lymphnodes in neck or arm otherwise no need to worry
