Patches have developed on should which etches and gets red. When I applied clotrimozol it disappeared but again after few months, it has developed.

You are most probably suffering from fungal infection or ringworm infection. Only topical application of clotrimazole won't help. You will need a course of oral antifungal tablets for 4 weeks to 6 weeks depending on the severity of infection.
