Sneezing fits, cold, head ache often

2021-06-15 03:53:52
My mother, aged 59 years has sneezing fits regularly. These episodes occur mostly in the morning or at night. When she takes an antihistamine( Montek - LC), her symptoms are reduced and she is fine for a maximum of 2-3 days. Her sneezing shows up again after that. Can you suggest something to relieve her of these symptoms? Can she take antihistamines regularly? Thanks.

It looks like she has allergic rhinitis ... Is it seasonal or throughout the year ? ... Some anti histamine and nasal spray can reduce her symptoms ... Try to keep a dust free environment around her, things like animal dander , dust mites , fly , cockroaches , moulds etc may increase the allergic symptoms ... If this is just seasonal issue can be managed with meds only ... For  a long term management she might require allergy tests
